Makayla Sifuentes
Guest Dance Instructor
My name is Makayla Sifuentes. I am originally from Mesquite TX. I have been dancing for 14 years and teaching for 9. I am classically trained in ballet / pointe, along with hip hop, jazz, contemporary, modern, horton, graham, carribean, african, salsa, breaking, partnering, yoga, acrobatics, and physical conditioning. I am a high school graduate from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and a college graduate from California Institute of the Arts. I have graduated from college with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance and a Minor Degree in Science and Mathematics. I have taught students from the ages of 2-60 years old. I have worked for vocal / entertainment groups, music artists / TV and music producers, film directors, educational institutions, and dance studios. I am grateful to have been able to tour across the country with the So You Think You Can Dance All Stars performing and training young performing artists.
While in California I was able to work and choreograph with Oakwood Secondary School in North Hollywood and also California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, CA. My love and passion for teaching is extremely high as I take each student of mine very seriously, providing them with an abundance of information with my knowledge of the performing arts. My goal is to teach, motivate, encourage, and mold my students into the striving artist that they truly desire, while guiding them through their artistic journey.
